At Fenix Canine, Matt believes that training should be an enriching activity for both you and your dog. His approach is rooted in force-free, positive reinforcement techniques, focusing on building trust and strengthening the bond between you and your canine companion. Philosophy and Methods

This program is designed for dogs over 6 months old who need help polishing their manners and mastering everyday obedience. From loose-leash walking and polite greetings to reliable recalls and basic commands, I’ll work with you to create positive, practical training sessions tailored to your goals.

Using proven, force-free methods, we’ll focus on building clear communication, good habits, and a strong working relationship between you and your dog.

How It Works

Choose the training package that best fits your goals: 4, 6, or 8 private, 30–45 minute sessions in your home with me, you, and your dog. We’ll focus on teaching practical obedience skills like sit, down, stay, leash walking, recall, and polite greetings — plus any other manners you’d like to work on.

After each session, you’ll receive a detailed follow-up email with notes on what we covered, step-by-step instructions for practicing at home, management tips, and additional resources to help you stay on track between visits.
